Every day I find myself inspired by and enthused about the ideas and passions of youth. I have been fortunate to have many occasions to meet and work with the remarkable young people in Kingston and the Islands. A few months ago, I was approached by a local high school student who recommended the idea of youth being engaged in provincial initiatives and issues in our riding by being present wherever possible at public consultations and roundtable discussions. Moved by this suggestion, I am thrilled to announce that I will be assembling a Constituency Youth Advisory Council, made up of 6-8 engaged youth, to bring forward that valued youth perspective. The council will discuss numerous provincial issues such as access to education, homelessness, addictions and mental health.
You will find a link to the application package below. If you are aged 14-24, this is an excellent opportunity to have your voice heard at the provincial level! Applications will be accepted at MPPYouthCouncil@gmail.com until February 10th.
If you are unable to print and scan your filled application for submission, please feel free to submit a paper copy in person or by post to:
